Advice, please. Switching from liquid to foam.

Hi,
I've been on minoxidil 5% liquid for about three years, and I think it's pretty much helped me keep most of my hairline. I'm still happy with it's effect. Also, I don't remember much of a shed when I started.
I'm pretty fed-up of the flaking now, so I'm thinking of switching to foam. As this is also 5% minoxidil, will it have any different effect on my hair? For example, shedding or any other sides. As it's still 5% minoxidil, will my hair be able to tell the difference?
I guess I'm asking what the difference between the foam and the liquid is - aside from the delivery method?
ps - {SPAM} The moderator blocked my attempt to put the URL due to spamming issues. What is the story with that?

Thanks.

I wasn't (intentionally) spamming, by the way. I was just trying to get some answers. The URL I posted seemed a bit suspect, and I was trying to get some info on them.

Hey Sam, I never tried the liquid but I've heard that the foam is easier all round and has a higher success rate, good luck with whatever you choose.

P.S: Several links are auto- banned from here due to problems in the past.

Thanks, UK1; I've just used it for the first time. Smells nice, like hair mousse...

I quite like the smell of it too actually although the novelty is wearing off, some can't stand it after a while.

Yeah, Rogaine does have a distinct smell about it. Foam is great imo. Its dries much more quickly and doesnt leave your hair looking nearly as greasy.
