I went through a prolonged shed for a few of weeks in late January and into February, I know that hair shedding is a natural part of the hair cycle but I feel as though my fringe is noticeably thinner (to me atleast) and I was shedding long, healthy looking hair follicles. I'm not clear on shedding and it's relation to balding, but my understanding is that the shed hair has reached the end of it's cycle and it is going dormant for a new hair to grow in it's place later. Would it be reasonable to assume that it may grow back in a few months or should I get on treatment?

That's what i'm confused about, my understanding about shedding and baldness is that hair miniaturises, sheds, and grows back weaker, but i've been shedding healthy looking terminal hairs, so I'm confused. When I say noticeable, I mean it feels noticeable to me as far as weight but I don't think it looks noticeable to other people yet
