This is not another one of my topics "am i balding?!", but i'd like you guys to tell me how bad it looks, it's pretty clear to me now that... dunno if this can be called balding but my left temple is still receding, the right one has me in doubt, crown seems ok and the front seems ok but i have doubts.
I want to stop it, at first when i started worrying about hair i was like "**** i gotta keep it the same forever", no, now i just want to have a decent hairline, or at least keep it for many years, thats why i need some advices.

1- should i wait to see my derm again in December?
2- at my current state, starting finasteride and minoxidil, do you think i'd respond well?
3- i know that it depends on the person, but what are the chances that i keep my hair for many years?
4- since college got almost all of my time, right now i can't get a job for money to buy the meds, the only way would be that a loan from my parents but they still don't believe that i'm balding, how could i convince them? (the only idea i get is to wait some months-year till it's noticeable but i don't want to lose more time.
5- what Norwood i am? 1 or 1.5?

1: No
2: Yes, at the very least you will bald VERY slowly throughout your life, depending on your predetermined genetics,
but most likely you will regrow all hair that was lost or miniaturized, and maintain.
3: The gene tends to come from the x chromosome, so your mother's side. Look at your mother's father's hair to get
an idea of how yours might end up. If he is clearly bald or has balding, then it would suit you best to start prevention
tactics now, that way you will maintain forever or until genetics outlasts the medication, which by then might not happen
if anything new comes out on the market.
4: There are much cheaper means that I've been introduced through reading, but I specifically ordered 90x tablets of generic
1mg finasteride for $42.00. Just start researching the causes of male pattern baldness, pull out photos of your grandfather
and then formulate some type of plan to introduce it to them, or just tell them you have to buy something else but need a
credit card.

Well, from my mother's side everyone has hair, my grandpa died when he was 68 and he was a nw2, from my dad's side, my grandpa is 73 and is starting to lose hair, my dad's a nw2 since he was 20, my two uncles, one started balding ten years ago or so, he's a nw5 now(never treated it), the other is 48 and is starting to lose it (crown and at front).

And oh yeah, i forgot, i've considered the generics but, do they work the same as the original?

Well you might not have anything to worry about then... yes the corner of your hairline has thinner hairs
but possibly as well as your grandfather and others in your family with similar hair.

Its hard to say unless you have access to the labs where the generics were created to compare... but from
experiences of others, they work just as well.

Can't you afford even $200 a year for the treatment (one year supply of generic 5mg finasteride and kirkland minoxidil) ? it's like less then $20 per month..

Well yeah $200 sounds very reasonable for a year, but i'm asking about the generics, do they work the same as the "originals"?

And no, i know that i have some receding, it's clear now, i just want to know if it looks as bad as i see it or what

1: its not as bad as you think it is. No one except someone who is already balding and informed on it would ever notice. Probly not even then(im not proud of what i'd do in exchange for having your hair)
2: Yes generic is as good as non generic(except better because it is cheaper)

Hey, i was just styling my hair and then i failed to resist and check my left corner, i pulled down the hairs that are "thinning" and just left the behind ones (that i suspect are thin too) so... tell me, do you see thinning beyond those hairs down?

Very very slight if anything, you should shave all your hair off one day and see how it looks when it grows out, if the hairline grows slower, that might be a sign of miniaturization of the follicle and the shortening of it's growth cycles.

What's your problem with the guy, he's worried that he might lose his hair, anything bad in taking care of yourself?

this guy has been posting the same pictures with the same questions over and over again and never listens to what others have to say including his doctor. worrying is one thing but this guy is just over the top. :)

To OP, start the treatment already if you are so worried.
oh, to answer your question, yes and yes and yes. generic finasteride works just as good as Propecia. Cheers
