After 7 pills

Hi, im new here. I'm 20 years old and my hairline has been receeding quite dramatically. Thinning hair in the hairline etc. Not lost much on top of my head or in the back though.

I decided to start propecia but stopped again after 7 1mg pills as i was feeling quite ill. Want to try a different treatment.

Now to the problem: After just a week of treatment, my shedding had started, now im losing 4-5 times as much hair compared to the pre-propecia hair loss - and now i'm shedding from all areas, not only in the hairline region.

I'm aware that the hair won't grow back as i've stopped taking propecia. But for how long can i expect the shedding to go on? Will the amount of hair falling out return to where it was before i started propecia?

Took the last pill 2 weeks ago.

propecia did not cause this. I don't know why you are shedding or when it will stop. Maybe genetic timing. but since sickness is not one of propecia's side effects, i think the pill you took might not have been real propecia, but something highly tainted. maybe sickness caused some shedding. If that is real propecia, did your doctor look at your hairs closely to make sure you have male pattern baldness and not some other type of hair loss. I'm surprised it started so suddenly.

i think u shud get back on propecia and give it 3-6 months.

I'm sure it was real propecia. Bought it in a pharmacy. Very Expensive

I'm not sure whether the sickness was caused by propecia or not. It stopped after af few days so probably not. But either way i've decided propecia is not the way to go for me.

I just find it strange the shedding started so fast. But it's alright if just it stops again, leaving the amount of lost hair per day at the point it was before i took those 7 pills.
