Hi everyone, I unfortunately am thinning aggressively and am looking to advice. I’m currently on oral finasteride for a month but was wondering if I should add 10,000mcg biotin to my regime? I take vitamin d, c, fish oil, finasteride every morning.
Will it help buy me a couple more years? I’m currently 29 but worried I’ll be completely bald before 40.

I doubt the casual observer would be able to tell there is anything happening with your hair. It looks good. In my opinion, biotin only makes hair and nails grow faster and doesn’t really do much to improve hair follicle diameter/hair density unless you are severely malnourished (which you likely are not). Many people have reported some subtle improvement in hair quality with MSM supplementation. See the MSM thread by @Kidbako.

When I was in my early 20s I thought I would be completely bald by 40 so I know how you feel. Male pattern baldness can be unpredictable and it doesn’t necessarily occur in a linear fashion. But generally if you have this much hair at 29 you will likely not be a slick bald NW6 at 40 as long as you are still on Finasteride and don’t have a family history of very aggressive hairloss. Take a good look at your family tree and you’ll have a rough idea of what to expect. If I were you I would just focus on the next 6 months or so to see how well finasteride works for you. Keep in mind, maintenance would be considered a success and any regrowth a bonus. You could always add minoxidil to your regimen once you have a sense of how well finasteride is working for you.

The BIG3 will help see a specialist should you be worried about using medications. Biotin will not help for male pattern baldness, too much high dosage biotin can cause acne and body rash alongside long term side effects internally.

Your hair looks fine. If I had to guess, judging by these photos you look like a guy who always had high hairline.

Stick to finasteride and monitor your progress, if it gets worse, introduce minoxidil once a day.

You should get on Dutasteride and cut out biotin. And in ur case I’d get on dutasteride and take 2.5mg + Ru5 all once a day to nuke your system.
