Just kidding-
I must tell you that I used to split a month or so worth of Proscar at a time. Then I though about a post I read on here, stating that a Derm said splitting would allow air to get at the medicine and degrade its effectiveness. The coating on the pill seals it and keeps the medicine potent. It made sense to me because the pills were sitting around months at a time exposed to the air.
After a year of doing it the old way I now split a tab a week and have achieved much mor success over the last four months. Hair became much denser, comparitively speaking.
Also I split it in Fourths rather than fifths- much easier. I take it every day with no sides, except for a bit of a reduction in seamen volume. Though that can be easily rendered with 2g of Arginine a day.
For those who only want 1mg of Proscar- sue the above splitting and take the pills 4 days on and 1 day off as my derm suggested.
