Just found that Allergan will be recruiting for a phase 2A trial for setipiprant this month:

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02781311?term=allergan&rank=71

This is really exciting, hopefully there will be a press release soon.

Unfortunately, the trial period is 24 weeks, that's quite a long time but at least it is going ahead.

There are locations of the trials if you follow the link, anyone aged 18-40, Unfortunately, I dont live in America, but it would be great if we managed to get a forum member in one of the trials.

IMO, a longer trial is better, as we're more likely to get informative results.

I'm moving to Baltimore in September, but I'm not eligible for the trials. I have a history of ED, and entering this trial means a 33% chance of being on finasteride.

Also, if you're in this trial, they will not allow you to take minoxidil, RU, spironolactone, nizoral, laser comb, etc. They will want a clean sample.

They are trailing 1000mg 2x a day. I was taking about 700 mg 2x a day before i ran out.
I think it helped reduce shedding. Problem is that since ive been off it, its all gone to hell in a handbasket faster than you can say baldbastard

I can try to get in the austin trials when they begin

God after this trial how many more trials will it have to go thru. 2020 before we see it, huh

By the time this comes out we'll have much better options imo, hopefully with Histogen, Follica, replicel, Samumed. But who knows, maybe Bimatoprost and this will give very good regrowth and will be worth the wait.

Only now? They announced setipiprant against hair loss a year and a half ago.

Do you have any before and after photos you can show us of a time you were using Seti and another of when your hair went downhill after you stopped using it?

were you taking 700+700 mg per day, i.e. 1,4gr?

The trial text is unclear, but I guess they mean 2 x 500mg tablets per day, b.i.d.. Not 4 tablets.

I can try to find some, but i didnt really photo document when i began seti. Im diffuse thinning, and i can just tell by how flat and thin my hair looks that its gotten worse since early feb, when i ran out. My hairline is also getting worse too.
Ill try and find photos that match up to the dates i believe i started, stopped and where i am at now, but itll be iffy as i hate taking photos cause they depress me
I never noticed any regrowth but it just seemed the shed and had slowed down some while I was on it

You can see over my left eye the patch of hair you can see thru. My entire scalp is that thin now. It got this was after about 5 months of not using seti. Maybe it would have gotten that bad on its own, who knows. Just thought it was a coincidence that will not stop the seti the thinning goes into overdrive
