Am I a candidate for JUST minoxidil?

Looking at photos of the past few years I realized that my hairline must be receding, but it wasn't until recently when I felt like my hair was actually THINNING that I started to get worried. Just the hair up front at the hairline seems to be thin, but it's also def. less dense there.

I've read these forums a bunch and the side effects of finasteride scare the crap out of me. I mean .. headaches, loss of libido .. I like a full head of hair, but I like to be able to get it up without much effort more!

Little bit about me... I'm 27, run daily (50-70mi/wk) and am a pretty healthy person. My dad was balding severely in his early 20s and I look like a clone of his... except with hair. See what happened to him!

This is me in 2004, this is me in July. Just for kicks .. here I am in 1998.. no hair problems then!!

I know my balding is not terrible at all, I feel like I'm in the early stages, but like I said earlier, finasteride/propecia/whatever seems a bit scary. Input?

Also, a couple questions... where to buy? What should I use in conjunction (and where do you get that?)

Here's a picture that I just took after my haircut today with circles showing some thinning.

toppik is just a concealer, it doesn't fight male pattern baldness. Get on treatments, don't worry about sides, even if you are unlucky and experience any side it's not permanent everything goes back to normal when you stop using finasteride.

I think finasteride is a must if you wanna keep your hair for the long term.

Agreed, better to start sooner then later. A lot of us wish we had.
