Hi.

I am 27 years old and noticed thinning in front 2 years ago. Not a big different since then but More thinning.
Hairline hasn’t really moved. Even from looking at pictures when I was 22 it was the same hairline. Tho thinner! Temples might have receded a little bit.
I have sooo few bald men in my family. Dad, older brother, both granddads have hair at old age. I have 3 uncles on my moms side. 1 of them is bald.
Am I just really unlucky?

I had a lot of scalp issues for years now, which is more under control now using nizoral twice a week.
This make me wonder if those baby hairs are actually new hairs?

The very thin hairline concerns me. What do you think? If I wont experience much more than a thinning hairline, then I’ll definitely go for the transplant.
Also. What Norwood am i? No thinning at crown.

I would need to see the crown. I have tried to memorize and internalize different balding patterns just watching men for 36 years who were balding like me and one of them is good for you but the other is bleak. Sometimes, the temples will go but not the rest like Sting and I checked recently, he still has most of his hair. So without treatment, that's your best hope. Sorry but we are all willing to help you catch it before something bleak occurs.

I will tell you what to particularly watch for. In pic three, if those receding temples move at all inwards, you are going bald without doubt. In some, it will just be the temples but yours are pretty far back.

I am all but certain you came to us in time to save the crown! But you are in zero hour. You need to do some form of treatment immediately. Do you have any hopes or preferences regarding treatments?

Let me look again. Pic three has an incipient bald spot unless you got scarred there but the crown can always be saved, well usually.

No, in pic three, you are missing a little chunk or what is that large whorl, they call it? Your age makes a difference too.

So I have a test for you to do. I want you to get the hand mirror and go to two different mirrors and I want you to try to see if you can style your hair so it looks bald on purpose. If you can, then it's male pattern baldness in the crown. I only achieved my crown recently and I hated doing my own test because I had an incipient bald spot that literally just stopped for a long time but I could always see it in 3-way mirrors. My salon had lousy mirrors yesterday so Jane is back and Will is on hold. You will be fine as long as you aren't a sides person. Then it can suck.

Well my friend, we know you losing it in the front and sometimes they can link up quickly before you even realize. Start treatment today. Most people can handle minoxidil foam fine or you can get the cheap stuff. I drink that one. You can find minoxidil in all supermarkets and drug stores. Buy the blue box. I use the pink one, just kidding.

You are a goner without treatment. I promise you. Those temples are going to next bald inward and then the crown can link up with the hair loss in front. You have zero hope without treatment but that's why you are here!

Start looking at all balding men but it is an insidious pattern and then it can be gone like in six months. I had minoxidil ande finasteride and duta the day they came out but the other guys can tell you how fast you can lose it all from that stage. Maybe you have a year. This is like that Seinfeld episode. "Live, dammit!"

Makes it worse my friend. It's okay. Yours is treatable and the best kind of hair loss cosmetically because the temples are maturing in a lot of men so it doesn't stick out too bad yet. The first step is accepting the truth. Most guys start on vitamins or change their diet. It does not work for 99 percent.
