Attached are some images of my hair in different lighting and conditions. I am 25 and started noticing slight hair loss starting with receding of the temples at 22. I hopped on finasteride at 23 and have since more or less stabilize the loss, however it is slowly starting to get thinner on the crown especially the vertex area. what I am concerned about is that it is not concentrated on one specific area but is spread out across the crown which makes me think that it is diffuse thinning and eventually all hairs on the crown will miniaturize together rather than receide in a traditional Norwood pattern.

I am looking to get a hair transplant within the next few years and I’m having consult with different doctors in these upcoming months. Given this hair condition should I wait until the progression gets worse? If it is diffuse I’m sure it would be harder to restore density as it wouldn’t be able to concentrate on one area.

last 2 picture is hairline from 21 yr old, 4 yr ago.

The outdoors one? my hair has changed texture since I started losing it. minoxidil and keto may have contributed to that Change in texture.

you dont need a hair transplant. besides its a waste of money and donor hair. it also could go easily wrong

your hair looks good as it is

I agree with Hairs45, I wouldn't go for a hair transplant at this stage. Might be a good time to start adding other treatments (Microneedling, maybe dutasteride once or twice a week) and see how things play out. Not sure if many surgeons would do a transplant on such a small area, and there's still plenty of hair there, so that might make things harder. Toppik could be an option if it bothers you but I doubt anyone would notice other than balding or bald guys (Other than us Norwood Spotters hahaha).
