am i just being paranoid?

okay, i started on finasteride three days ago.

i've been thinking about my libido, and i've been constantly grabbing at my chest, trying to feel if i have manboobs. i know i was the one who posted about the results in placebo trials, but i guess i can't help being paranoid.

so how do i check? i think my libido is ok because i still feel horny alot of the time (even though i feel a bit anxious, because every time i feel horny, i keep thinking, is it as hard as before? do i really want it as much as before? etc). and how do i check if i'm developing man boobs? (i'm sort of fat already, so i may have fat around that area already). is there a generic section of the chest i should check? would sensitivity around the nipple occur first?

or should i just not think about it? will all these things be OBVIOUS if they occur? so obvious that i would notice a definate difference? not just subtle paranoid delusions?

Don't think about it, the side effects only happen to a small percentage of men, just think about the benefits it'll bring to your hair.

well... i know i shouldn't think about it.... i just can't help it.

hopefully IF it happens, it's OBVIOUSLY HAPPENING. so that i know i'm getting sides.

can somebody vouche for this? side's are obvious? that i'm just being too paranoid at the moment? because honestly, 3 days..... and i'm paranoid about sides already. another month and i'll be crazy. especially if sides are known to creep up on you or not be very obvious.

do you know if they're subtle changes (if i get sides, i'll be like "there's no difference... nothing's changed")? or if i do get bad sides, will i be something like "oh sh*t, sides, better stop..."

you will actually have a dull constant type pain i am told with gyno... now some just have it for a few hours or part of a day, and it goes away

however, constant dull pain at the breast is a usual sign

what is gyno?

and if i don't experience any pain in my chest then that means i'm in the clear? thanks for taking a HUGE weight off my shoulders.

ok.... you're going to laugh at me after i tell you this.

after i read that post about the chest pains. i went to have a shower. during the shower, i felt pains in my left chest... i'm quite sure it's because i read the post.

you see what i mean? i'm being overly paranoid, so i can't tell whether side effects are occuring, or whether it's just my normal bodily functions.

i've been on finasteride for 4 days. this is way to early to be experiencing any side effects, am i right? especially not finasteride related chest pains?

and bubka: if i experience these pains, and they aren't constant (only a few hours a day) this doesn't suggest i am going to get man-boobs right? this is only normal? only constant pain = bad side effect?

hopefully i'll become less paranoid in a few weeks...

"gyno" is short for gynomastia, men developing female like fatty breasts...

i will feel it on the tit so to speak, not the chest...

quit reading this crap and worrying, its less than 3%

Damn dude you need to chill out.

First off, if you develop gyno you will feel your nipples sore and the pain will last for a while. You're just being paranoid and therefore are getting a sensation there. You need to forget about it.

As far as the libido, I'm not saying finasteride does not affect you, but a lot of the sides related to "erections" many times occur because its all in your head.

Just chill out bro.

oh ok.... my nipples aren't sore... and hopefully they never will be, but yeah, it's only been 5 days or so, so there shouldn't be anything wrong. at least i'll know when things are going sour now. (hope they don't though)

thanks for confirming that for me. much appreciated. i was just getting too paranoid.

now i'll be able to relax. thanks again man.

person123, if taking finasteride is making you this worried, then maybe u shouldn't be on it.
