Hi, I’m currently 21 and have this worry that I’m going to lose my hair. I was born with a widows peak and have never had a straight hairline, it’s always been in a V shape. My Dad is not bald and neither is my Grandfather on my Mums side. I was hoping to get some insight into if it’s just my natural hair line and I’m overthinking or if I am starting to lose my hair.

The hairline and temples are receding, you would require the BIG 3, Finasteride, Minoxidil, Ketaconazole.

Ketoconazole is garbage. the other treatments is enough for him. He should start oral finasteride only, and if it gets worse add in minoxidill.

How comes you say that? What are the signs?

This indian retard with no male pattern baldness is playing you. But he is Right. You are balding. Get on finasteride asap.

My hair is pretty thick though and I have no hereditary genes of it. Do you think I should see a dermatologist?

Thick is irrelevant. You are just receeding for now and later it could get diffused. But no genes could mean no male pattern baldness or you are just very unlucky which can happen.

You have a Norwood 2 hairline. It’s entirely possible it will stay like this for many years…or not. Do you have any bald uncles? Is your paternal grandfather bald? If not, the odds are in your favor that your will retain most of your hair. I would monitor closely and take these same exact pics again in 6 months and compare and reevaluate. Repeat every 6 months. Keep an eye out for loss of density also.

My Paternal grandad had hair too. My hair hasn’t changed since I can remember I’ve just always had a V shaped hairline and I thought to come and see if it’s natural to have a hairline like mine. I take much more off my mums side in terms of genetics as my father is olive skinned with black hair, where as my mums side is my blonder. I’ve got very little resemblance to my father. My grandad has had the V shaped hairline all his life and he’s now 73 so part of me just thinks it’s a genetic trait.
