hi there,
i went to a see a hair specialist in sept/2003 and obviously he suggested a hair transplant, seeing as it was gonna cost nearly $9000 i said the hell with it i'm 21 years old and still have hair covering my whole head and am thinning in the top middle to back and front left and right. so i decided to go the non surgical route. seeing as i've heard the earlier the better as far as medications go.
i have been using 2% minoxidil and 1.25 mg proscar for approx. 5 months ( which is what the Doctor prescribed ) and my hair loss / thinning has slowed noticeably. i have decided to switch to 5% minoxidil as of march/2004 and add nizoral ( 2%) at the same time to maximize the results......
now the questions:
1) is it o.k. to switch from 2% to 5% minoxidil from one day to the next?
2) is safe to take saw palmetto as well as finesteride at the same time?
3) is there anything that i could add to this regimen to better my chances of success?
thanks guys in advance for your help !
