Heyo. Just wondering, is JUST taking finasteride and using nizoral a good step for a diffuse thinner? I don't want to do minoxidil just yet, because of the fact once I start it, I'm on that sh*t forever and it's harder than just using a pill.

I'm taking 0.25mg finasteride daily but might up my dose. Honestly just wondering if finasteride alone could maintain for some time, or is that a shot in the dark. I hope minoxidil isn't a must. Just not really ready to use minoxidil every single day until I have to.

Wazzuuuuuup!

I think that for maintenance, finasteride alone is probably sufficient for most men.

It's not sufficient for people with very aggressive hair loss. A person in that situation still doesn't necessarily have to use minoxidil though, they can first try to switch to a stronger 5ar blocker like dutasteride, if they are fine with the risks.

So what you should do depends on the severity of your hair loss, I'd say. If your hair loss has been "fairly average", I'd say first try using finasteride alone, and wait for 6 months or something. If you aren't happy with the results, consider adding minoxidil.

If your hair loss has been super aggressive, consider throwing the kitchen sink at it right now, I guess.

Also, saying "finasteride and nizoral" is a bit like saying "a nuclear bomb and a rifle". Finasteride is an entirely different ballpark in terms of efficacy, and especially also in terms of the strength of the evidence that supports its efficacy.
Thanks. Still have a full head it's just diffused, so looks thicker than it really is. I think I caught it early enough. Just hope finasteride works.

Is 0 25g everyday fine for a start? When will I experience the dread shed? And I'm just meaning, I'm using nizoral because it may help 2 percent yknow. And for my seborrheic dermatitis. My temples aren't receeded yet just diffuse.
