Am I overthinking it? Terrified

I’m 28 years old and am starting to think I’m balding and thinning aggressively. What can I do to prevent this? I’m taking Biotin, using Brickell Men’s shampoo and exercising. I’m checking my hairline/head like 20-40 times a day and just want to see others thoughts on how bad it is. I’ve included photos of when I was 17, and 24 as the last two photos.

Yup, your hairline is obviously thinning. You should hop on finasteride to keep what you have and use minoxidil at front to get some regrowth.

So I’ve had a bad hairline/thin temples for most my life (see last two photos), but do you think it’s a lot worse now?

take finasteride and you will stop looking at your hair 40 times a day. take it for that peace of mind

Not aggressive at all but you did develop a mature hairline earlier which looks to have remained pretty stable.

Ya? My hairline has never been good, but I can’t tell if I’m losing serious ground or not on the hairline and crown

Doesn't look too bad u just need a better hairstyle to compensate for the loss that you've had.

Also the last 2 pictures aren't in the same position as the other ones so you should take some new pictures in the same position so that we can easily compare

After 30 plus years in hair loss, surely what a mature hairline is clear? I guess an element of coping here. The guy is beyond a mature hairline (Norwood 1.5/2) because it's asymmetric from corner to the other and also thinning - there is no real connection between the centre and the corners. Norwood 2.5, recession here clearly, needs to get/stay on meds and have a transplant if he wants an actual mature hairline or lower.

The last port of call for the mature hairline is Norwood 2 but that clearly extends in a V or U shape from the centre to the sides and is symmetrical and normal density.

Looks there may be some thinning -but, as others have said, not aggressive. Should respond to treatment. You'll get through this, I feel sure.

Are you the person who says it's Norwood 2.5 when it's actually Norwood 1? Here you can clearly see that the guy has very slight thinning, which is a mature hairline. This is MUCH better than Norwood 2. Look at the pictures, I think it's obvious. It is worth watching the situation for a bit, but it is likely to be stable over the years.

Really, if you don't know if you are receding or not , it will be extremly hard somebody that don't know you will know. It is really simple, If you really have male pattern baldness, you know it , simple cause your bald areas get bigger and bigger over time , plus, always, hair loss is present . Plus it is hereditary . It is as easy as acne to diagnostic it .
