Hi,

I have recently starting having my hair cut short after having long hair nearly all my life and noticed that the corners of my hairline are pretty high my crown is fine and my hair is pretty thick. Does this look like recession and the starts of male pattern baldness? My dad has pretty much no hair and however his dad and my mums dad had full thick heads of hair. Any feedback is massively appreciated.

Cheers,

Hey, Tom, my name is also Tom and I was also born in 1994. :D
Well, it does seem like your hairline is receding. Is you hair thinner at the temples? Do you have smaller hairs along the hairline?
It might be a maturing hairline, but it is very rare for hair loss to stop at a mature hairline level, it usually continues.

IDK, but if it is male pattern baldness you would want to start finasteride .5mg to 1.25mg daily to stop it long term

dude wtf is it with you and finasteride?

what is with me and finasteride? this is a hairloss board. finasteride is like the only long term solution to hairloss. It is extremely effective as well, and very safe compared to other prescription meds

Why should I not be recommending it to every single person with male pattern baldness?
