OK so I've been taking hair loss treatments for about 2 years now off and on.
Generally when I take treatments, whether it be minoxidil, finasteride, nizoral etc. I just notice a halt to my hair loss without any shedding.
However for the last few weeks I've been using azelaic acid in combination with minoxidil and I think I may be experiencing shedding for the first time. The reason I think this is because when I was just taking minoxidil on its own and stopped using propecia I noticed my hair started thinning very quickly and felt really unhealthy, was itching etc. However since I've started using the azelaic acid with minoxidil I've noticed that whilst my hair does feel a bit wispy at the back and I notice a few hairs coming out when I wash my hair, I can also feel a layer of hair at the surface that wasn't there when I was taking minoxidil on its own.
Would appreciate any advice from those who've experienced shedding like this
