Am I silly for considering a hair transplant?

Hi guys. I’ve posted a couple of times and I realise my issue is tiny compared to many of you. As someone who wears their hair long, I am frustrated by my thin hairline. It’s stabilised due to a few years on finasteride and I’m now considering a small transplant, to thicken hairline up and then forget about it!
do you think I’d be a good candidate?
Cheers all

Thanks for replying! I assumed, because it’s not aggressive, they might not touch me… have I got it the wrong way round?
would you care to estimate how many grafts I’d need?

No - surgeons (ethnical ones at least) would be more hesitant if you were early 20s with a high norwood or weren't stabilized with your loss. You are a prime candidate however

Around 1500-2000 grafts

Oh right! I really have got this all wrong! I’ve been looking at surgeons and wondering what’s best to do…. Farjo isn’t far from me, in Manchester, but I’ve looked at Dr Basinga too… Do you think I could get what I need doing in the UK?

Are you Otis from Milo and Otis?

Says you're 38 so loss doesn't appear to be aggressive. Get the transplant

Interesting. I just had a zoom chat with a Dr Bicer, in Turkey and she said “no way do you need a hair transplant. People are jealous of your hair”! Her words! She was lovely but couldn’t understand my issues! “Everyone gets a bit of loss like you”!
that’s put that to bed then!

I guess ~2000 grafts to rebuild and straighten your hairline and you will look amazing like you looked when you was 20 years old. You're a perfect candidate.

Well, Dr Biser disagrees, that’s for sure! Anyway, I wouldn’t want a 20 year olds hairline, to be honest. Just slightly thicker would do!

if it is aggressive then you don't because itll be shitty in afew years anyway?
This is me in 2008 (blue top) and a few days ago…. So 14 years. Different styles, I know, but it’s not “aggressive”, I don’t think…. Would just like to strengthen hairline so when it’s really long, and tied back, I’m not self conscious…!

I’m o
Well there will be other surgeons who would still operate on you. Just need to find them - Dr Demirsoy , Dr Keser other good surgeons in Turkey
On another forum, I’ve a Dr called Mohamed from BHR Clinic UK, suggesting I call them. The work he’s sent me is actually Dr. Basinga work, from the Belgium BHR clinic. Does anyone know anything about this uk clinic, in Macclesfield?

I would wait a few more years before CONSIDERING hair transplant. I agree with Dr Bicer in your case. I would pay good money for the kind of hair you have. And I did. Don't stress just yet. If in the next four years you see that no length or style can conceal your bald spots or the receding hairline is making you look balder than you actually are, or like, get it then. But you're fine as you are right now.
