A few days ago, Dr. Vañó posted a superb before and after photos (pasted below) on Twitter of a patient who took the following for 6 months: 1) Oral Dutasteride; 2) Oral Minoxidil; and 3) Dutasteride injection sessions.
"This kind of patients with diffuse alopecias and lots of miniaturized hairs on trichoscopy, usually respond very well to medical therapy and don’t require a hair transplant"- Dr. Vañó.

First guy took oral duta, topical minoxidil and Duta injections for 6 months
Second one same protocol with oral minoxidil instead.

huh oral dutasteride PLUS dutasteride injections? Why? whats the rationale behind this instead of just increasing the dutasteride dose? I'm sure its not cheap to get an aqueous or oil dutasteride solution compounded all the time either

dutasteride never reaches to block all DHT in the scalp. 0.5mg a day inhibits 90% of serum DHT production, but only 55% of DHT scalp levels.
So, you can still lose your hair even taking this poison, and also, there is room for improvement (direct injections).

i did wonder if they were doing that (scalp injections)

if it were just intramuscular injections anywhere else on the body it would be a bit redundant in my estimation

So basically who knows which of these things is responsible for the regrowth. My guess is it's the minoxidil.

Sorry, I thought 1mg finasteride block 70% serum DHT and 64% scalp DHT and 0.5mg dutasteride block 90% serum DHT and 70% scalp DHT ?

maybe you're right, and dutasteride reaches 70% scalp DHT inhibition; however even in that case there's still DHT destroying hair so therefore this is (still) a losing game in the long run.

dutasteride injections and still looks like a heavily balding person (let's be honest) lmao

if you take oral minoxidil, dutasteride, and dutasteride injections you need to expect something close to full regrowth lol

Agreed
That's exactly why your "alternative" road to cure this without 5AR, will leave you so f*****g bald.

PS : Those pictures are better that any provided by Fidia, strange isn't it ? We're talking about a single doctor here, showing better results than a company...

What is so amazing about this. We all know that minoxidil and finasteride work for Androgenetic Alopecia it ain't new and not that special. There are photos on the web of good responders of finasteride and min that have better results.

Here I was hoping that this was some kind of new treatment.
