Androgen upregulation... what if?

I'm given to understand that dutasteride will cause massive upregulation of androgen receptors to compensate for vastly less DHT... if you used dutasteride, then switched back to finasteride (perhaps to have unprotected sex with your partner), would you start to lose hair? Or would the androgen receptors downregulate to a new "hair friendly" equilibrium again?

this type of stuff has been discussed and discussed for ever.

the only way to find out if it is better than finasteride and works for you is to try it.
