Any Benefit To Tapering Finasteride?

I'm a 34 year old male. I took 1mg finasteride EOD from Aug 2015 to Aug 2018. Didn't have any sides (that I noticed) aside from lack of morning erections so I increased to 1 mg everday from Aug 2018 to today. I'm still slowly losing hair and I'm getting the creeping suspicion that my anxiety might be exacerbated by the finasteride.

I want off this drug but I'm absolutely terrified of PFS. Is there any benefit at all to tapering? I've already cut back to 1mg EOD for the last few weeks.

Since its easy to do you may as well try slowly tapering off, but personally I think its bunk. Every single dose you ever took starts off full strength, and slowly gets eliminated as it weakens. Then you take another dose. Your hormone levels are fluctuating every time you take it anyways.
Cant hurt to try that, but I wouldnt worry too much about it.
