Any dutasteride users have JUST frontal thinning?

I have no thinning in my crown. It is as thick as it was when I was a lad. My hairline is not that receeded but it has gotten VERY diffuse over the years and is getting more sparse by the day. I've been suing finasteride for 6 years and it hasn't stopped things.

Anyone have JUST frontal loss and responded to dutasteride?

I have the same situation, finasteride for 4.5 years thinking to switch. Any experiences as JWM asked?

If you used finasteride for 6 years how do you know that your hair wouldn't be much worse now if you had used nothing?

finasteride likely slowed things down for me but did not stop my loss. I just got a haircut today and the entire front top of my head is DIFFUSE!!

Any dutasteride users care to respond? Who is just thinning in front?

Yes, first two years with finasteride were great! Front got thicker. Now finasteride seems stop working.

Perhaps i really start with dutasteride....

Well I suppose that'd be me.

Using it since start Jan 2005. Back is slowed right down but as to your question; front really went downhill. This time it was just thinning at the temples which I was worried would lead to receeded hairline.

I was a bit conservative with my estimate! One of those 2-3 norwood hairlines with the remaining bit diffuse.

All in all wondering if I should turn to topicals

Good luck Joe.

I've been fighting the hairloss battle for 10 years now and have yet to find a topical that really helps. It sounds like you and I have a similar pattern of loss.

Ironically the one product that actually DOES slow down my shedding is Zix (zinc sulphate and B6) but I worry about the long term effects of constantly putting Zinc on your scalp ESPECIALLY since zinc sulphate is a known irritant.

I wish I knew what the next logical move for us would be. I have tried practically everything.
