Any success with low dose finasteride?

So I've been on 0.005%-0.01% topical finasteride for two weeks or so. Things are going well (no sides) so far but I'm curious if anyone has had any success with such a low dose?

I'm also going to be adding winlevi cream using roughly 2 grams daily. I may up it to 4 grams daily but my hair is diffusely thinned and even with my best efforts it causes my hair to clump together.(4 grams daily would be just 1 gram short of the minimum used in the breezula trials).

Research suggests a 1% topical finasteride formulation, applied twice daily, is ‘non-inferior,’ meaning equivalent, to 1 mg oral finasteride tablets.[2] And while that’s a positive in terms of hair growth, using this amount topically twice daily pretty much guarantees systemic absorption. In other words, if 1% topical is the equivalent of 1 mg oral, we can expect it to reduce serum DHT levels by 71%.

So what if we choose a formula with even lower percentages of the active drug? A study on 0.25% topical finasteride showed just a 35% reduction in serum DHT levels versus 55% for the oral medication, and yet similar outcomes for hair regrowth in both oral and topical groups.[3]
So what if we go even lower? A study on 0.005% alcohol-based topical finasterideinstructed participants to use the formulation twice daily, with 1 mL applied per session.[4] This led to no appreciable changes in serum DHT levels… meaning that for this ultra-low topical formulation, there was little-to-no systemic absorption (and presumably, few-to-no side effects). The good news? This group still experienced great hair growth outcomes.

Gotta take all of this with a grain of salt. What vehicle was used in the study, how often it was applied, how Long hair the participant had, shaved buzzed Long, in other words, just take it orally.

ya

also this is kinda scetchy

In one clinical trial (that was not officially published), one research group found that over 18 months, once-daily application of 1 mL of 0.15% topical liposomal finasteride led to great hair regrowth outcomes, no sexual side effects, and only 5-7% declines in systemic levels of DHT (which is biologically insignificant). We talk more about this in our write-up on topical finasteride in our member’s area.

I tried oral got sides. Played with dosages and still got sides. I can't tolerate oral finasteride as low as 0.25 mg eod

The 2021 study shows 35% reduction in serum using ~ 0.1mg opposed to mazarella which showed none. Wonder if it's the carrier or other factors :/. I'm thinking the higher the concentration per ml the less you can spread it out so the less is getting attached to the 5ar in scalp and the more is going systemic.

how is 0,4ml even enough to spread it over the head? does topical finasteride only works where it is apply or all over the scalp?

Spread, cant be applied to one small area and expect it to be spread all over and penetrate and hit the hair folicles. Nah, why are you considering topical when you already take finasteride orally?

i just realized however that i probably cant just dump finasteride powder in minoxidil...because minoxidil probably would increase the percentage that goes systematic

so i would have to buy some weird alcohol sh*t

Bro the Guy in the video said that oral worked better for him than topical. So I suggest you stop being paranoid and continue if you have no sides. I have lower semen production on finasteride but I wont quit because of that. Be glad you dont have problems.

did you measure your sperm count? or are you referring to the size of your load? the decrease volume is mostly a result of the decreased amount of liquid your prosatate is producing...(that is part of the load...)..mine is a bit reduced too

have you tried zinc or vitamin e? it might help with this...personally i havent tried yet because im not really bother by it

Yes, also my semen dont shoot out as forcefully anymore. I mean I can shoot out maybe twice and rest just seeps out. I used to be able to shoot several Times with good Force, but when I took dutasteride this was alot worse for me, it mostly just seeped out slowly. And by the end of 1.5 years on dutasteride I ejaculated only one drop of semen lolololol.

btw the more i research can it be that topical minoxidil is just bullshit compared to oral minoxidil? oral minoxidil is cheaper too

Yes cheaper for sure. And no scalp irritation or inflammation from the constant alcohol and pg application. I dont see how it can be good for the folicles and skin to get daily exposure to alcohol and PG long term. I Read many on reddit that was Topical non responders but responded to oral. Some say it works way better than topical even. So thats what im doing.
