Anyone had prostate reduction surgery?

My dad might need it soon. Just wondering how effective it was and side effects etc. My guess is no one on here is that old.

I guess they might remove it for some guys. Usually they just cut out half of it or 2/3. They take as much as is needed to keep it from pinching the urethra, though I'm sure you can get them to remove it all.

I just want to know if he'd be back up and running any time soon, or if there are a lot of risks of complications or something.
