Anyone know about this? Scalp damage spurs regrowth?

I read a single thread a month ago that damage to the scalp for some reason encourages hair regrowth. Someone was experimenting with this, selectively damaging small areas of the scalp. I couldn't find that thread again..

While I'm 99% sure this wouldn't practically work, it was interesting and I wanted to learn more about the mechanisms. Anyone heard of this, or know of any threads discussing it?

Well i think that there is matter what type of a "damage" we are talking about..remember,that if you let a scar on your scalp,there will be never hair on that place again i think we all know that...so what do you define as "damage" ?

yes you don't do permanent damage to the scalp.
