I recently got a cheap poly perimeter base ( Australian ) from Ali and am experimenting with it.

1) I tried Walker scalp protector + 1 layer of ghostbond platinum . It lasted 1.5 days. On the second day, the back of the system becomes loose. With outdoor activities it doesn't last even for hours. I went cycling and the front glue came off after 2 hours, the back was ok.

2) I tried with Liquid bandage + 1 layer with ghostbond platinum. It lasted 2 days with gym use. The Hold is lot stronger than using the walker + glue combo. After the end of the second day, the liquid bondage in the front was dissolved due to sweat. After removing the system, most of the liquid bandage on the glue attachment point was transferred to the system. Cleaning it from poly was a mess.

I use just oil to clean off glue + bandage off my scalp.

Just looking for products without phthalate.

I've never tried Walker scalp protector - so does it create a weaker bond with the glue? Then again, I see you only used 1 layer of Ghostbond Plantinum. If you read the instructions, you're supposed to use 4 layers, not just 1, so that's likely the reason why you're not getting enough hold.

You're doing something wrong for sure, but it should be solvable.

Have you washed the base of the system and let it dry?
When putting bond on your scalp are you letting that touch-dry (5 minutes ought to be enough)?
Use 2 layers of bond, leaving 2 or 3 mins between each one.
Don't do any vigorous activity for 24 hours after bonding - and don't get the hair wet for that time either.

I use 2 layers of GB and I have occasionally used a sweat blocker in hot weather. I get a good 5 day hold, though I might have to touch up the hairline after 2 or 3 days if I want to have a perfect/exposed hairline style.
