Hello All,

I'm Turkish and living/working in TR age 31. I had hair transplant surgery (30 Sept 2018) that performed by one of my friend and her team. Really sorry about that but I'm not able give more details about that so far. The lady and the team who performed the hair transplant surgery are already working within another Dr's clinic. The lady is a close friend, and advised me having surgery in a rented(for daily usage) operating room .Because during the 2018 currency crisis in TR, also hair transplant surgery costs increased madly in llocal currency, so that is why i followed her advise. The lady will be having maternity leave, i guess she will be off all next year.

Acc to her information approx 4000 grafts planted on front area and 600 to vertex area / Fue method.hair transplant had been done on 30 sept 2018, has been 18 days after. First hair wash been done on 2 oct 2018, about 50 hrs after the surgery. Will try to show the period via photos.
Would be so pleased, if you let me hear your opinions/suggestions about my hair transplant surgery and period.
(Sens wash: apply panthenol lotion wait for 1hr and then washing very soft with suggested ph=5.5 shampoo )

Photo 10 - 11 : Falling hairs (alone or within scab/scales), even with very careful and soft touches. Wonder about them if they are dislocated or failed grafts, because number of them were not so small.
(contacted to the lady and asked about them, informed me that is an expected thing for the period)

Placement looks really nice... I just had a 5300 graft FUE at Hasson & Wong so very interested in your results.

Are you noticing shedding of the transplanted hairs? I noticed that about 85% of mine in crown and vertex shedded after 3 weeks, my temples were at about 60%.

Hi,
Thanks for your message.
Yes, I'm aware of that losing some of transplanted ones. If you could check the photos in a timeline, it could be seen easily.
gonna make an update with below message, the situation could be checked better from the photos.

Thanks for this excellent post. Congratulations on your progress.

I'm surprised that you're shedding bits at a time. I thought it sheds in one go at around 14 to 21 days.

My transplant would be 3500 grafts in the same areas as yours.

Did the surgeon tell you when you can expect growth of the grafts?

Dear Smith ,

Really d like to thank you for your message.
Hopefully, this surgery will be succesful one and hopefully this post will be helpful for all members...

About growth timing issue, lady informed like for first growth should become visible after 3 months.
In 6 months time , can show (more or less) about how succesful the transplant op. will be. But for sure they always say that it needs exactly 1 year to talk about results.

Regards

That should fill in quite nicely. Most people start to notice big changes from around 150 days onwards. Good luck

Thanks for sharing your journey.
I also had a similar amount of scalp area covered as you did with a recent hair transplant. They only managed around 3500 grafts with mine, so I'd imagine you should end up with better results.
I'm currently up to day 18 post-op. Surprisingly there has not been much shedding yet but I'd expect it to be in full swing pretty soon.
Good luck and keep us updated!

Hi Beko.

I would still try to stay positive. I'd expect growth after 4 months sure, but again it does happen where people don't see anything even up to 6 months.

Have you tried Minoxidil or Biotin tablets? They've made a massive difference to me and accelerated growth unbelievably, if not I would certainly look into them.

Good luck.
