Are Beard Transplants More "acceptable" Than Hair Transplants?

I don't care about a beard, never have. But everything hipster related will be more accepted by the community than hairloss. Cuz, just shave it brah and grow a beard.

I don't think we should completely discard the option of facial hair, just because it's often laughably regarded as the antidote to baldness.

It's saved many a good man from looking like chemo kicked in, though only a rare few can truly pull it off with full baldness. I'd say it also somewhat distracts from recession and diffuse thinning.

This is an interesting topic. I have also wondered why such hate exists against people who want to gain their hair back.

I really don't know why people think hair transplants are a thing to be ashamed of.

Generally hate and shame are linked to gender, race, money or sexuality.

The only thing that comes to mind is that this may be related to the idea that society as a whole prefers that men should for some reason retain their masculinity and forgo any "metrosexual" or feminine trait.

Perhaps people mistakenly think that the men who want their hair back are being vain. And vanity is associated to metrosexuality or - worse - homosexuality? On the contrary, beards are considered masculine and desirable for a "real" man even for fundamentalists of all monotheistic religions.

I know it is a far stretch. If someone has a better theory, they are welcome to share it.

And if you went completely bald young, it's a sign of serious inferior genetics, there's no hiding that.

Doesn't bode well for my ongoing attempts to motivate Exodus.

Nobody here seems to care about being able to grow a beard, until THIS little game changer...

Don't worry about hair colour unless you're under 25. Even under that, it can look cool with good hair though, lots of people dye their hair salt and pepper too. Also hair dye provides an easy fix to restore colour. No grey/white for me yet and I'm in my early 30s.

A guy like below could dye it or not, still would be attractive.

He'd look good even bald, not a good example.

I am NW3 in 25yo AND with greying EVERYTHING – temple points, hairline, donor area. moustaches, beard.

Yes I do not mind having completely white temple points like Mitt Romney has BUT I am not a f*****g Mitt Romney.

Romney is all white hair basically but selectively dyes it for an age appropriate look. He looks fantastic for 70, a handsome guy.

So your problem is not the gray then but hair loss coupled with grey hair. Different story.

yes and dye works fantastically for him

he's thick NW2.5-3 also. For 70yo. That's I call "balding gracefully".

I'm going with the theory (as Wolfpack mentioned) that hair transplants are viewed more negatively than beard transplants because balding genes = inferior genes, and you are essentially trying to hide that with a transplant and giving a false picture of your genetic fitness and overall attractiveness. Mind you, nobody says sh*t to women with their caked on make-up, high heels, implants/push-up bras etc. It's a total double standard.

Poor beard growth doesn't signal anything to anyone, really. Unlike scalp hair.
