Are the sides of dutasteride reason enough to not take it over finasteride?

So is it more beneficial to take dutasteride when there are more sides in your experience/ research?

or is it actually more costly on the average for most people when dealing with the sides.

Some people thin kdut is worth it.

Also is taking finasteride twice a day significantly awful for your health/ high reports of ba sides from doing it?

I have been total 25 years on finasteride/dutasteride. I believe I did proscar from 1995 to 2001 then jumped on Avodart till now.

I am 50 and was able to keep a good portion of my hair. 80 percent of my friends are bald. I recently added 2.5 oral minoxidil, it’s really thickened up my hair in the last 6 months. Not here to advocate any drug, everyone has a choice.

I feel like if your father was a norwood 4 or higher before age 40 then you should just get on dutasteride from the get go

i would say yes but also no
I would say it definitely is. I haven't seen a single man whose maternal grandfather is bald that isn't bald/balding. It's an instant curse

x chromosome. do you think in most all ways mother is way more essential in general genetics than a dad?

if your maternal grandfather was balding or completely bald already would you hide his existence?

I used to ditch biology classes when I was in HS so I am not the best person to answer that question. What I said was based on "naked eye" evaluation. For example, my cousin, whose father is my nw1 uncle, is balding heavily in a diffuse nw7 pattern because his maternal grandfather is nw7 and started balding in his youth. Not only he is balding but his other cousins on mother's side are balding heavily too, one of them at 16.

One friend of mine is nw3 at 25 and his maternal grandfather is the only man bald in his family;

This other friend of mine has a nw7 dad but his maternal grandfather has hair, and he is not balding (of course many people here claim that is their father's the one to blame);

Another friend of mine, 19, is diffusing badly and both his grandfathers are bald, his dad is probably nw4 but with solid density.

So it's kinda of a mystery, but most of the cases I watch their maternal grandfathers are bald. That's why I say that if your maternal is bald/balding, you may probably follow his path

Wish I got my maternal grandpa's genes, then the onset of this curse on me would have been 20 years later than irl.
