When I was 26 many years ago, long before finasteride and min, I started talking about getting plants. Friends and family laughed. Then I went and did it. From then on, everybody knew I was serious and they became supportive. I haven't cared since.

My family laughs except for my grandmother who sent me some herbal pills. She's great. They compare me to my dad (who is balding). Only thing is, he's starting now at 55, and I'm starting now at 25.

My cousin came down and saw me last fall for the first time in like 5 years. Towards the end of our visit she tells me that I look good and specifically mentions my hair. She honestly thought I would be balding by now just like her dad and every other man in the family. That was less than a month after i started on propecia and my thin spot was at it's worst so I felt good that she didn't notice. Yet it also embarrased me that she is so sure I will go bald. And unfortuanaly, my male pattern baldness does come from her side of the family. Her dad went bald despite rogaine. And I was heading the same way until I added propecia to the mix.

Most of them are so wrapped up in their own lives they could care less about my hair loss, which is a good thing. The only people that really say things are those that I have joked around with about my hair loss.
