Hi I am new here, my first post.
I read below the thread about Arginine and it's interaction with Lysine.
Firstly Arginnine and Lysine do not 'cancel' each other out!
The two do compete for entrance to the brain through the blood brain barrier, this can easily be avoided by using Arginine PYROGLUTAMATE instead of plain 'ol Arginine, (Arginine polyglutamate does not compete with arginine)
Think about a grid with 9 holes and 18 balls, sure they all can't fit on but they certainly don't 'cancel' each other out.
The use of Lysine is in fact known to boost Arginines action.
Always try to use the L-version of an amino acid like L-Lysine or L-Arginine as opposed to Lysine or Arginine, the L pre-fix denotes the natural unsynthesised version which is more bio-avaliable.
It is best to take the majority of amino acids on an empty stomach (before bed is good), with just a glass of water, this is true of the above.
Ornithine is twice as effective as Arginine (as a growth hormone stimulator) but alas twice as expensive but it does not compete with Lysine, this is best used in a 'satck' with Lysine, Arginine.
Now some questions :freaked2:
If I rub my minoxidil in to my head say at 10.00 am and 10.00pm could I take a bath/shower at say 6.00pm, is the minoxidil fully absorbed into the scalp by then, or would I be washing some stuff off ?
Is using 0.5mg (as opposed to 2.5mg) of dutasteride more effective than using 1.25mg of propecia ?
