As a diffuse thinner, I am extremely thankful that the current hairstyle is extremely short sides

This morning I was trying to get my combover right, but no matter how I combed my hair, the top of my head was see through. I thought to myself "I'm not just losing my hair anymore - I am starting to be 'bald' now". I undid my combover, revealing my nearly totally bald scalp in its entirety. "Who am I fooling?", I thought. I felt totally hopeless at this point.

As a last resort, I got out my clippers and decided to shave the sides of my head really short, to make the top of my head look thicker in comparison. I didn't think it would do anything - I mean, it wasn't going to make my hair grow back. But to my surprise, it was extremely effective. I can't articulate why it works, but it works. I can see through to my scalp, but it's not noticeable any more. I guess when the sides are this short, it looks like the top is thicker than the sides, and therefore it looks like you "have hair".

Thank God we live in a time when it's socially acceptable to have sides this short - if this were 15 years ago I would look ridiculous with sides this short. I just hope this hairstyle doesn't go out of fashion any time soon.

I look silly with my sides shaved short, not an option for me, as for diffuse thinning, why not use hair fibres to get the illusion of some density?

Same here, my brother. That's the real "badass" style, not that shave it all off bullshit.

Who cares if it goes out of fashion? It works for you so just keep it and say you're rocking that Tom Hardy. ;)

Y'all gotta stop suggesting fibers all the time lol, not every man is built to consistently apply that sh*t every morning, not to mention my girlfriend will know that I'm a fraud, just not an option.

lol I personally stopped using them, but you are right they are a hassle and not the best of options but when desperate and thinning you gotta do what you gotta do i guess.

After my hair transplant I applied fibers for a little while and one day I was in a hurry and didn't apply them correctly and it was so obvious that some girl asked me about it. Luckily we were close and I told her that I got a hair transplant and meanwhile I'm using it until my hair grows back. She liked it and said her boyfriend should get a transplant too LOL. But yeah not gonna go through that hassle again. Next time I'll just be a hat prisoner for a little while until my sh*t grows back.
