Hey guys --

I have been taking propecia for several years, and it never stopped my hair loss - i am still losing significant ground on a daily basis. I am thinking about switching to avodart, but these stories of shedding and sides really scare me to death.

Since i havent experienced any side effects on propecia, is it reasonable to assume that avodart wont be a huge shock to my dht levels, and thus shouldn't experience these awful side effects?

If i went through a shed from the switch, what i have left will be wiped out...id be done fore. Any advice would be appreciated - thanks.

Also - what dosage should i consider(keep in mind the long term use of propecia)

I switched from finasteride to dutasteride after 7 months. Had bad sides on finasteride (tiredness) yet I have no sides on dutasteride - nearly a month on it so far...Still losing hair but then had high hopes I might stop losing even in this short time.

All the hair I seem to lose tho since on dutasteride is short fine hairs..not sure if that's good or bad but in my mind its better than losing long terminal hairs. It may be shedding the miniturised hair I hope to make way for new terminal ones :D

Take full dose 0.5mg per day.
