Avodart AND accutane

Hey, what does everyone think of taking avodart AND accutane at the same time???

I think it would be fine. When I was on accutane I drank a lot of beer and my liver enzymes were always normal. Not sure if a Doctor will let you do that though.

Yeah, I don't think a Doctor will alllow me to do that. Part of my problem is that my doctor knows NOTHING about avodart, and so he really won't prescribe it to me. And then my dermatologist is lazy and so she won't go through the "ipledge" system to prescribe me accutane (I have moderate acne but it's been going on for 15 years now, and i've tried literally everything, from minocycline to retin-a to benzaclin, and nothing really works).

So.... my combination of accutane and avodart will have to be purchased via the internet and done on my own. But any advice on how i can get blood tests done for no reason at all (except to monitor myself)?

How much Accutane are you planning on taking per day?

I will be taking 20mg for 9 months. I have moderate acne, but it's damn persistent.

9 months is a long time to be on Accutane. However, I took 40 mg a day for 1 month and 80mg a day for 3 months. Hair got worse, but my face is clear as a baby's bottom after I had acne for about 5 years.

Is your skin still oily?

It was before I was on Accutane. Now, it is no longer oily.
