No, because the information accompanying a pot of Avodart states that dutasteride should not be used in conjunction with other 5 alpha reductaze inhibitors - which is what Finasteride is.

No, because the information accompanying a pot of Avodart states that dutasteride should not be used in conjunction with other 5 alpha reductaze inhibitors - which is what Finasteride is.

In reading the patient information at Glaxo's website for Avodart (.pdf file) -- which I assume is the same as the info enclosed with the medication -- I do not see anything about combining with other 5ar medications.

There is a warning not to take dutasteride if you're allergic to other 5ar medications.

Are you certain the package insert says this?
