Has anyone got cold feet before meeting a 1st date and backed out?

I'm on plenty of fish dating site, and I worry that my hair might ruin my chances of clinching the deal with her.

I can make my hair look ok in favourable conditions so the photos I used looks like I haven't got much of a problem it just looks a bit thin under harsh lighting..

So I tendered to place more body photos, now I have had a few chicks wanting to meet me, I'm freaking out about meeting them and they flick me straight away..

Is anyone else using dating sites? They are a nightmare for men with hair issues.

I will suggest you to stop worrying about it and go meet the women. People do post their best pictures on dating sites. There is nothing unusual about it. Just look your best on the day of date and things should be fine. Those chicks found you good looking enough to want to meet you. That's a great sign.

Definitely should go meet them. Like @pjhair said, people do post their best pictures on dating sites. I'm sure the women you are meeting did the same thing.

If you quit this time, you will make this as a habit.
Wear your best clothes, shoes, wrist watch, perfume, smartphone in pocket ,wallet, and meet her without any worries/anxiety.

Yet another good-looking Norwood 2 guy paranoid for no real good reason. *sigh*

You couldn't be further from the truth. I have been to hell and back because of hairloss.

I won't go into to many details, but I have had so many difficult situations because of hairloss.

I have clawed some ground back because of hair transplants but I was thinning, receding at the age of 20.

I'm definitely not paranoid.

You know what? This is somehow a similar situation I went through 2 years back when all my family was trying to force me for the marriage and I was continuously trying to avoid any personal meetings. But this is seriously not a solution as hair loss can be temporary and if avoided for a longer time can be permanent as well.

For whatever reason it could be, you should not avoid any meetups and carry on with the same but also suggested not to ignore the hair loss and consult with the experts as well.

Yes , I know where you are coming from for sure but you will regret not meeting up with them. At least you will have known you tried and it's worth a try

I know diffuse loss is a pain, always worrying about lights , the wind, etc . It sucks but what can we do other then try to keep living as normal as possible?

My main concern if I do meet up with them is if they reject me after being so full on want to meet me, it will set me back a long way.

So I'm kinda stuffed either way. Go on the dates and risk rejection.

Or don't go on the dates and wonder what might have been. :(

Fully appreciate this post. Late last year I was a norwood 3 and it got to the point that I literally wasn't prepared to have sex or meet any more girls on Okcupid or POF because I felt so bad about my hair. I'm very glad I ended up getting the transplant, at least in 3 or 4 months I'll be able to have sex again.

I never had any problems even when I was a norwood 3 in terms of comments, I don't even think they noticed but I always had to get them to turn the lights out before we fucked because I was scared they would see the damage as usually I did a creative combover to hide it.

Just looksmax in terms of getting the perfect hair length to hide damage, a good shampoo, wear nice clothes that fit well and work out. Chances are unless you're a norwood 4 or above if it's an average chick she won't care, she just wants some easy dick with a guy who isn't too creepy.

You now have a more or less full head of hair, easily enough for your age. You've dated before. So this is just psychological, the problem you face which you are aware of. You have nothing to lose by putting yourself out there and everything to gain. Enjoy talking to different women and see where it goes - you'll pick up various skills too. It will be fine, just cover the usual basics and be the best version of yourself. On a side note even most the "incels" on this forum can date and will realise that if they make some effort. Sure some people will need to speak to a few single women before one says yes, but the numbers game does work. Quickly they will realise what they are compatible with looks wise and personality. Not dating should always be something someone truly wants and not because they are scared. I'm currently dating a very pretty 19 year old. Give someone a chance, they showed they were interested in you.

Good advice Wolf. it's definitely psychological and I have to get past that to succeed in this dating game.

The mind is a powerful thing, that can hold you back even if the body is able.

Am i the only one who strategizes my first dates with women? Night time, dim lit settings and familiar places are something i always use for my first date, we have the advantage of being men and choosing where we want to go, so i just use it to my advantage tbh. After the first date its best to not conveniently plan your dates to your preferred lighting as you cant be hiding your hairline for life. But it is a great way to know if the woman is into you, without exposing the full degree of your hair loss initially.

I have also done the dark restaurant and dull lit night club in the past. One night club was practically dark ( a bald mans heaven).

Only problem is when the ugly lights come on she will see you in harsh lighting. Have to pick up early in the night.lol

I'm hearing you. I once organised a date in a candle lit restaurant straight into the car after dinner and back to my place the whole night she never saw me in harsh lighting. This was a long time ago.The tactic works temporarily but eventually she will see you in strong light.
