I had read a doctors opinion online once about the "shiny effect" and he says guys who have been bald for quite a while and have shiny skin won't respond hardly to any treatment opposed to a softer looking skin . Its an effect associated partially to the balding effect but not entirely .

I find it hard to believe that theory when the hair I'm trying to grow back has only been gone anywhere from 5/6 months to 2 years. I doubt my head's already gone the way of the slick bald man.
