Well coming to the end of my 3rd week on propecia....I have noticed my sexual desire has decreased, I dont have any errection problems but I just get the urge to have sex.

Also I feel like I have put on weight, that might be more my imagination as I was planning to join the gym anyway, get some exercise.

The most depressing thing is I had my usual hair cut today nuber 3 on the sides and back and short and spiky on top, my hair loss seems to be getting worse....I am lucky I have a decent amount of hair on the top of my head but my scalp is starting to show more and more each time I get a new hair cut.

After 3 weeks I am already thinking about quiting it, but I guess I should give it more of a chance.

I just hope I dont end up bald,no sexual desire and with tits.....sigh.

you have to give it time....don't expect anything until after you have been on finasteride for a year. 3 weeks is nothing. there is a chance you will go through some sheds but this just means the drug is taking effective. eventually you will grow back this hair and hopefully some more, both should be much thicker. give it time and if you don't see anything after a year then you can quit. it usually takes around 7 months to notice results. add some minoxidil and nizoral to your routine and you should be set. good luck

During the first 1-3 months your hormone levels are going to fluctuate because you've just inhibited one of the most potent libido hormones in your system. Your body will overcompensate then undercompensate, which will result in increased sex drive and decreased sex drive for awhile. Stick with the treatment and your body will reach equilibrium again, and you should see a return in your sex drive. Give it at least 2-3 months before you get concerned about the libido thing. During my first month I had the same thing happen. Its common. I wouldn't add anything like Arginine or the GNC Mega Man vitamins until you've made it through your first few months and your body has adjusted to the new hormone levels. After that, if its still a problem, try supplements.
