So I am learning Spanish and last week we were talking about the different words we can use to describe a change in a person, being voluntarily, physical and so on.

The verb quedarse is used to describe a negative change or a loss of something, while transformarse can be applied to a physical radical change, e.g. change of clothing style.

Then in our homework there was Lex Luthor as an example (we use many pop culture references) and how he turned bald.
Every single student used quedarse to describe his change, while I was the only one to use transformarse.

I think I will move on to another class.

Yes, you are right.

In advanced Spanish it has other meanings, too..

Juan se quedó muy flaco = Juan became very skinny

It's a little late to reply, but I hope you have moved. Hearing such thing during education is so unfortunately. You need to fix on lessons, but you are only thinking about antolerancy of these people around you... It's terrible. I chose an easier way. I have moved to distance education and started to work. It's a little hard to mix, so I use this source for my educational tasks. I hope you are doing well!
