People often make crude remarks on my hair in front of me without caring about how I think, especially relatives. "Losing your hair so young? What a pity" or "Lucky will be the guy who finds out the cure to baldness". Always better than my colleagues, who give me nasty nicknames because of my baldness and appearancel

the usa is a plastic f*****g country. even the most good hearted americans don't quite escape the hair obsession. that's why this empire will fall. you can't build a sustainable country based on fake bullshit.

No way man. Italians are super f*****g vain. You should go there and see the men. They wear well fitted designer clothes and have immaculate hair styles and facial hair.
Come to the UK - most of our men are fat and poorly dressed, and there are tons of baldies here.
I would actually argue that the uk is the ugliest out of all of western Europe.

Obsession about looks is not unique to the United States, it is found all over the world. Every society in human history has had its shallow beauty standards, and status symbols most of them are similar if you look at it. There are many things that are considered universally unattractive, baldness being one of them. It's like my mother told, me "Men have been trying to cure baldness for 1000s of years". Every society in human history has been built upon "fake bullshit" such as your looks, how much money you have, and what social class you were born into. Even in the great empires of times passed, the best and the brightest did not always rise to power, and those qualities were not always valued by the populace. Those with power used force and oppression to stay in power. Vain people with certain looks were idolized and rulers spent a fortune trying to imitate these looks. Hell, Julius Caesar invented the combover when he combed his hair forward in that trademark style to hide his hairline! To a certain point I think we are hardwired just to find certain qualities unattractive. So a society can certainly be founded on fake bullshit. In fact I would say that that is the only thing it ever has been founded on, but that is just the anarchist in me talking.

Both the buzzed look and the bicced head are considered very low social class in Italy.
In fact, bicced men are stereotyped as football-types with blue collar jobs or as Southern nutjobs with low education.
There's no 'military look' conscience here: its not that people are more vain than abroad; it's simpler: you just can't get away with baldness, it ugly and there's no acceptable look with it.
Exception is the power donut for middle aged people, which is, in my opinion, still ingrained in Italian culture as the signature of the high ranking First Republic politicians.
If you're younger than 40-50, you're fucked. Also society is changing and the power donut won't be acceptable when I will be 40. I pray for the cure.

This is spot on, we are just born that way - part of our broken human nature? But come on guys, how many of us can look past an unattractive girl and say my or my she has a beautiful personality, just doesn't happen - but hey they're good to add to the friend roster, and who knows they might have a cute friend you're interested in!
Sad reality is the guy in the video just has an outspoken big mouth, most wouldn't behave like that in public
but that doesn't mean our thoughts/hearts are not contaminated with the same attitudes - especially when
brushed the wrong way.

like yourself, I have the rage, and no capacity for tolerating people who childishly pick on others for things out of their control. In all reality, making fun of a bald guy for losing his hair is no different than making fun of a mentally disabled person. Obviously, one is not tolerated in society, but technically it's like the same thing.
