Im finally out of denial. I still have hair but my bald spot in the back is getting bad, my temples are thinning, and my hairline is starting to receed. Ill get pictures up here soon but im basiclly sporting the combover hair cut in the mean time. Im not brad pitt but i was able to get girls a few years back. Now im on a pretty bad drought and quite frankly, im depressed as sh*t. I want to do something about it but I want to be profesionally advised. What kind of office or clinic should i go to to discuss propecia/duta?

None dude, you don't need to do that unless you have a history of hormonal problems or your allergic to finasteride. You don't need a perscription as you can get it all online.

Just get on the big three asap -

Propecia - Finpecia from inhousepharmacy is the generic equivalent but wayyy cheaper.
Minoxidil (Kirkland off e-bay is cheapest)
Nizoral 2%

terrible advice...
Go to a doctor and get a prescription, orrr do an online consultation and get a legit prescription for propecia. The last thing you want on your mind is wether your pills are real or whether they are as good as the real thing. To me, the benefit of knowing my pills are 100% safe and legit, plus the convenience of getting them at rite-aid, outweigh the higher cost I pay for them. Your only 20 and you hair loss is in the crown, which is good cause its easier to fix. Get a pill cutter and cut your 1mg pills into halves and get nizoral shampoo while your at it, it doesn't hurt to use it once in a while. Start out with .5mg daily and see where your at in a year, then go from there. Definitely don't get on the Big 3, leave minoxidil in the arsenal for later if needed.

Goodluck!

How can you get an online consultation? What does it involve, showing pics, describing?

Can it be done in the UK?

http://www.unitedpharmacies.com/Finpeci ... p_343.html

Is this site legit aswell? If you get over 10 strips, there 4.50 a piece, that beats the $52.00 for 9. Im a broke college student so I might have to stick with the cheaper stuff, although i do have a pretty good health insurance (blue c/s), if i did get prescribed would I get it discounted from it? Btw I really appreciate all the advice.

you obviously didn't have temple regrowth after three months... maybe your balding so badly that you consider the top-side of your head as "temples"... now go f*** yourself kiddo.

as for the original poster. get some finasteride and dont worry about minoxidil for now..

Also agree about not using minoxidil when first starting, keep it simple and ONLY add down the track if things start getting pear shaped for some reason and Propecia isn't doing enough on its own.

Where did I say I had temple regrowth , and what's with the attitude ?
Why do you feel the need to throw insults around ? Does mommy not give you enough cuddles ?

I live in the US but i think im going to see a Doctor about it. I really want to do something before its too late, but at the same time, im really questioning it due to the side effects.

I know its scary business when you first read up on some of the side effects. They frightened me at first. However there not life threatening and side effects go away for most people upon discontinuing use. I suffered most of the side effects you hear about and personally think although there real for some people their a little exagerated in some cases. For instance anything you notice wrong with you whilst on the medication you immediatelly associate with the medicine, especially if you have read the side effects. There could be other factors involved. Whats more some of the side effects if you get them gradually disapear after a while. I lowered the dosage i was taking and still got side effects until i cut it down to 8ths. I started taking it at quaters a few days and still got no side effects. Some people i think just take time for their bodies to adjust to the changes brought on by the medicine. I think it is worth trying it to see.
