Yeah I get it, some people like me will shave it, some people will keep hair with finasteride, some will transplant their hair etc.

The thought I want to share here is that whatever you do with your baldness, do not treat it as a disease or a sign of aging, you should rather treat it as something that just happens. May it make you look worse, or uglier, the thing is, that bald people should not be ashamed of the fact that they are losing their hair. I am not saying that you should tell people I AM PROUD OF BALDING, JUST BE BALDING BRO, but holy sh*t bald people are so mocked for the sole fact that they lose their hair. From what I observed in my life, when I was truly insecure about losing density, people would mock it much more and more more viciously. Now when people ask me why did I cut all my hair I just tell them the truth, that I am losing my hair and have lost most of it and I prefer my buzzed (soon shaved) look. No one mocks me for it, no one is laughing at my hairloss when I finally said 'yes I am losing them'. Most people mocked get ridiculed because they try to hide it by hats, toppik or combovers. Imo most of impact of hairloss occurs on psychological level, which is why many people after balding can't find anyone, because they don't think they deserve anyone...

In my opinion, positive posts like this miss the point. Like you, nobody mocked me and some even thought that I looked fine shaved down. But the lower quality of life that I had compared with other guys with hair was unmistakeable. Baldness lowers quality of life. Lower quality of life is itself a problem and leads to psychological problems. That's going to happen even if the bald guy has high self esteem and shaves his head happily. I tried being like you for years and now I am looking into getting a system. Being positive and confidently shaving my head (which I already tried) would be avoiding the actual issue that baldness causes me.

Any news about the hair system? Have you undergone a consultation yet?

My plan is to buy a stock system and take it to the salon to be fitted. I am too obsessive to leave the choice of system to the salon, sadly. I had a consultation and I might have more but it's very likely that I will choose my own online. All of the ones that I have seen online are too dense and thick so I'm continuing to look. I am cutting down on movies, books, video games etc. so that I can study systems. Whatever happens, the plan is that I will surely have a system on by January week 3 at the latest. I have started wearing a hat literally everywhere, even where I used to take it off. So when I first get the system I can transition comfortably by continuing to wear the hat like that.

Just make sure to do your research and double check before you buy anything. As a beginner it will be hard at first to spot quality systems and distinguish between them and poor ones. You might need to ask the guys in the hair systems' section on this forum because some of them are quite experienced

I will order in the next two weeks. The challenge is that I am obsessive and detail-oriented and there is so much choice. For example, do I want a lace or poly or mono or some hybrid material? What color should I get (not obvious because I can get it with some grays to match the small amount of grays that I have)? What hairstyle do I want? I think that I have already decided there. The other thing is that a lot of the systems are unsatisfactory to me. Like SMP, it seems like many guys get a hair system to get a perfect full hairline with lots of density. For me, I just want a basic conservative look that doesn't require much styling. So I don't want a system that's too dense. My face and personality suit short hair, I think. My next step is to choose a system and order. Then I'll do additional research and get all the additional gear such as adhesive, hair product etc. and then I'll go to the salon.

Really, psychological?
Nothing about this sh*t is reality?
Lol, this sh*t is literally a curse for your dating life and if Id tell you my experiences in dating post balding, you'd sh*t your pants laughing.

Tbf much of it is reality, but the psychological impact is hell, I mean I literally had to go on dates drugged up because I was having a fury attack after fury attack, I almost dropped out of my college, I was ready to tell my parents they gave me sh*t genes and I hate them for it (even though people tell me I look decent). Tbh most of my dating life is post balding and I don't know much of my life before it as it started when I was 16, by 19 I already had a visible diseased bald spot on my scalp (diffuse thinning) so idk maybe my perspective looks different. Btw want to share these stories? I want to sh*t my pants laughing

Balding at 16 is completely horrible Id think.
Yeah I remember that my hair looked odd when I searched through my scalp for lice, later people were pointing out (when I was 17) that my hairline is receding, then in the same year I buzzed it for the first time; literally no one liked it and I was insulted into growing it out by almost everone I knew, it was also the time I started lurking here, but didn't worry this much until I was 19 and I discovered that I am balding around 7 years earlier than my brothers (which were NW1,5 at this time lmao), then my fury attacks started and tbh was thinking of killing myself (literally). Hairloss is not even my worst problem in life (the worst is living after suicide attempt imo and living with Aspergers). Tbh my premature balding now is not as bad as I thought it would be, imo the worst thing was that I could never emotionally attach myself to a girl because 'what if I go bald and she leaves me' attitude, as I had long hair literally, or the fact that people assume I am older than I am (I look 27 and not 20) Now that I am buzzed almost to skin and I have someone who loves me, I feel finally like I can think of a future where I go bald and just shave my hair and she will stay with me even without my hair, so feelsgoodman I guess

I have Jason Statham-tier hair, which is horribly diffused and also I have assymetrical disgusting receding hairline, I shave almost completely to the skin so in most photos you will not see my hairline anymore
