No, his head was messed up obviously. No pun intended. I would never do what he did if I were in his shoes. But, it's easy to imagine that the girl was giving the other guy more attention because of his looks.

My guess is the stabby friend prob actually liked the girl and they all would hang out. She would hang out to get near the better looking friend and one day the friend suggested a 3 way of which the nerdy guy said yes just to get with her.
Yes she was probably giving the good looking friend WAY more attention to the point of Shanky McStabby Stab just standing there playing with himself and went nuts.

I took a look at what happened, it's genuinely a sad story. It happened because Tyler was jealous the woman was paying more attention to his friend Alexander. Then Tyler stabbed Alexander in the neck with a knife, but then felt sorry and jumped out the window in the room he was in and died. Fortunately Alexander survived and was treated at a hospital for the puncture wound to his throat and the woman was left unharmed.

The thing is, I really, really doubt all that happened because he was angry about his balding, and that his peers didn't have it. It could be a possibility, though must have been very unlikely.
