Hi. I already have a topic in this forum about my hair loss, but i decided to start a new one with all the details and everything.
I never really had a head FULL of hair or really thick hair, and last year i decided to not cut my hair for a while.. Some months after, my hair was very long (not ponytail or hair thouching the shoulders though), and i started getting some comments about my hair, that i was getting bald in the crown.
I decided to buzz it (4#), and nobody ever said nothing again.. But maybe the people that already warned me didn't want to stay warning me all the time, thinking that that could 'destroy' our friendship.
I always had some bad dandruff problems, and my scalp was always a little red. I started using nizoral and dandruff was gone, but the red wasn't.. I started getting some itch, and when i scratch my scalp, i get some flakes from it under my fingernails, sometimes i get an hair with some flake on it as well.. Maybe seborrheic dermatite?
About my family history, i only have one person that is real bald, an half-uncle, half-brother of my father. My other uncles and my grandfathers they all have hair. Of course they don't have a lot of hair or thick hair like they used to when they were young, but they have hair and not a scalp without one hair, except that half-uncle. That makes me think that maybe is not male pattern baldness, but what do you think?
I never knew my grand grandfather and so on, so i don't know though..
So right now i am just using nizoral 2% twice a week. I am thinking to give minoxidil a try, but i would like to hear some opinions from you first.
