Okay, this post is to establish my baseline.

I am one month in, finasteride-only. If anything I have less hair than a month ago, I guess its that shed everyone talks about.

So far, no real sides. Medicine head for first 2-3 days. Things are a bit more...liquidy.

Anyway, first up is dirty hair messed up. Next is hairline at the part. Finally, clean, combed hair.

I plan on updating in November and January (months 4 and 6)

Minor updates:

More than 1.5 months in, no boner-related side effects. It does seem that my body hair is growing at a substanially reduced rate. I guess that is acceptable.

Question: Looked in a mirror the other day and had the first feeling that something had changed. Obviously, I don't have any sprouts at this point, but I am wondering whether it is possible that my hair could be growing with a thicker diameter? Does a new grow cycle need to start, or can a hair thicken mid-cycle?

really just wondering if its in my head.

I'd shave my hair for now and use finasteride+minoxidil until you have more coverage.
You will definitely get regrowth but right now it looks a bit silly

Yeah, don't disagree, two things though. One, harder to make comparisons when you have a shaved head and no need to start with minoxidil until you know the effect of finasteride (in other words, I am biased toward being scientific, despite my agreement that you have a point)

Agreed... I dont see why anyone should start minoxidil until they know what finasteride is doing for them. You might get a lot of hair back from just finasteride.

Well, 85% chance you don't lose anything, so my opinion is wait til then to worry about minoxidil.

As promised four month update. Not a bunch of regrowth so far, but the hair I have does have a thicker look than before. I tried to recreat the previous sequence of pics as best as possible. In the dirty messy pics my bald spot is more apparent. This is because my hair is a little shorter and it IS growing with more diameter. Both of these factors make it difficult to mess in the same way.

Side: Watery semen, reduced body hair.

Nice, still early days. What dosage are you taking finasteride on? I have a few new hairs coming out near my hairline (V) but barely been on it a month. I think they must be old hairs that were shed and now growing back.

Okay, either it's helping or my hairline is moving back (or a length difference is just making my hair stand up)

I am on my phone and don't know how to make a side-by-side.
