My 90 year old grandapa has a better hairline than me. All I see in the mirror are golden arches. Can't stop crying. I do minoxidil once a day at night for the last year. It hasn't helped at all. If you are willing to take finasteride, then why wait till it become worse? At this point it looks like norwood 2.5 approaching norwood 3 but still as you keep losing hair it is difficult to gain them back. And also finsateride don't give you puffy face and man boobs, it side effect include Erectile dysfunction but as alekgn said, not everyone has those side effects and even if you are one of those unlucky ones then it will not happen over night. You will see pre signs like watery jizz, difficulty in getting orgasm etc, you ca always discontinue the drug then.

First to reassure you, your hair looks really good. I would kill for that hairline now. I don't think that's Norwood 2.5. Norwood 2 at most. You're maybe seeing the signs of loss so as others have posted why not go on the big three? minoxidil alone won't do it but probably with finasteride will make a difference. Don't panic. Your hair still looks good. You just need to start something soon. Also, think about other elements, like good shampoos, taking biotin etc. A few things like that could really help to keep your hair looking better for longer.

I would see a dermatologist first and than consider the BIG3 for male pattern baldness hairloss, unless you have a different condition.

Alternatively try Topical Finasteride with 15% minoxidil to target the hairline and hairloss direct to treat male pattern baldness.
