watsup every1,
wanted to share my hair loss journey and any advice would be great. I started losing my hair when i was in my late 17. Didnt really took it seriously until i was 18, then is when the bomb exploded my head started itching like shiiiite asss and hair loss was really bad. So then i decided to do something about it, went to dermatologist who recommended ROGAINE saying it will STOP hair loss (DAMN it) and that if it didnt then i should discontinue. I used rog for 8 months really thickened my hair, i was getting lots of comments on my hair color going reallly dark and hard when people were touching it. stupiditly cuz it didnt stop hair loss, i got off rogaine and did a bit of research and found finasteride. started using finasteride for 6 months no results, since then i got addicted to it, i cant seem to stop it, i feel like it works even no visible evidence. Now two years my head is diffuse thin especially in crown, my frontline is pefect thick, healthy no loss at ALL, which is a bit weired. But even my sides is thin so a few weeks ago after having a free consultation with Advanced hair Studio i found the treatments they were using. it consisted of serenoa (serulata 1.6g), minoxidil 5%(they call it Hair growth formula) + one crap shampoo and serum that has wheat amino acid and propanol. And finally the big thing they call it is the laser. They offered me 2500$ so i was clever enough to run out of there as they r money ripppperrrrrrrrrrssss. went to pharmacy got Herron Saw Palmetto 1.6g (60 caps for $10), and also got minoxidil 5% (4 months supply for $139). So yea i am pretty sure minoxidil will work, but what do u guyz think abt saw palmetto? really cheap even if it is abit effective would sstick to it. And should i quit finasteride? I have also used nizoral since then i started to have diffuse thinning do u think that could be the cause? any advise would be great!!

cheerzzzz :)

don't quit finasteride, consistency is the key to any regime to see if things work... dont be radical with your changes.... now not going to advanced hair was a GOOD move because you can buy the stuff yourself. stay on propecia (depending if side effects occur, mabye drop the dose slightylu) .... saw palmetto - mabye try throwing it into the mix, i know someone whos had good success on an advanced hair regime, including saw palmetto. minoxidil might be an idea if your losing alot. saw palmetto / finasteride could help you maintain, minoxidil to grow.
