Been On Finasteride For 2 Weeks (questions)

Hey guys,

I have been taking 0.5mg of finasteride for about 2 weeks now and i just have a few questions!

1) Is it normal to be shedding hair this early? im not noticing the loss of a lot of hair as im not a thinner but the hairloss at my hairline has definitely accelerated.

2) I am experiencing 0 side affects, no ball ache no nothing. Is this a good sign? I assumed i would be getting some sort of side affect.

3) At what point do i determine if 0.5mg is enough or if i should go up to 1mg?

im on my 2nd month now and have same thing happen to me, but i also use minoxidil so that early shedding i hope its a good sign for both of us

I'm on two weeks of 0.15 duta and also expriencing a shed I think. In the shower I see more hairs fall off. Also minoxidil, but only on temples.

isn't it well known that the hair that falls has been dead 3 months ago ?

I haven't done much researching into shedding to be honest mate, mainly to avoid the constant side affect talk surrounding finasteride.

Notices a lot of hairs in the bath this morning both long and short, is this a good sign? im only on 0.5mg and i literally have 0 side affects yet, no loss of morning wood or anything.

1. It's normal to see shedding after a few weeks. I had the same thing after I started.

2. Most people don't have any sides. You are normal. The sides you see people claiming on the internet are exaggerated and unrepresentative. People who don't have sides, don't post.

3. There is probably basically no difference between the effectiveness of 0.5 or 1mg. See here: http://i.imgur.com/x5Pdu.jpg

As you can see, even the difference in potency between 0.2mg and 1mg is like 10%
