When I was in 5th grade I hit 5'2 and I had size 9 feet, I thought I was going to be pretty tall. Well through those next three years of school, I didn't get tall while everyone else did I grew at best somewhere between 2-2 1/2 inches. Entering high school was a nightmare, the taunts of "Awww you're just a little guy" or people trying to stuff you into lockers was hard enough. Looking over your shoulder when your in the bathroom to see if the jocks are going to give you an atomic wedgie. I remember being told I should try out for the lollipop guild at the Wizard of Oz school play. Every day of my life was miserable, to have girls literally look at down at you in some cases and tell you "Sorry, it's just the height thing" and then walk off as if, hey no worries for me. I was lucky enough to finally get to 5'5 my senior year and have a girl actually want to date me. Yet she broke my heart later on saying one of the reasons was "Remember at prom where I had to take my heels off because I would be at direct height with you? I want to thank you, you made me realize what type of guy I want to be with, a guy who is over 6 foot." To say that isn't as crushing as any bald comment if not worse is just moronic on your part. I finally reached 5'7 1/2 but trust me I still feel tiny as hell. People say 5'8 or 5'9 is standard Caucasian height in the United States. That is bulls***, I see more guys at 5'10 or taller at my school and in the world.I see girls easily reaching my height in junior high or middle school and getting taller too.
I'm sure some guy will come here and say "Not as bad as being tall and bald". Screw off, at least if I wasn't the shortest male member in a family of 5'11 to 6'1's I could feel at least I could compenstate for that.
Rant Over.
