I've called a few pharmacies in my area (Toronto, Canada) to inquire about generic finasteride, and there are several brands available.

The main ones are:
- Pharmascience (PMS)
- Sandoz
- Teva

One of the pharmacies even told me they could order any brand I wanted, including the three above and also Apotex, Mylan and a few others.

Do you guys think any of these generic brands are better than the others?

For example, I would probably avoid Sandoz because they had to shut down their plants in India after the FDA found serious manufacturing violations. I'm not sure if finasteride was manufactured at the Indian plants, but if they had problems at those plants, it's more likely that they have problems at other plants as well.

I personally use brand Propecia but if I had to use a generic I'd use Teva based on users over here and other hair loss forums claiming it legit. Also Teva is very popular over here, cause it's made here. For me Propecia 30 tabs is $28 versus Teva $20 so I might as well go with Propecia.

I used Dr. Reddy's and then was switched to Camber. Both work great. If you are getting the pills with a prescription from a legit pharmacy then they should all work the same.
